Court to indict PPP leader Ali Haider Gillani others on May 31 in alleged senate election bribe case

ISLAMABAD, April 27 (Online): District and Sessions court Islamabad has fixed May 31 to indict PPP leader Ali Haider Gillani and PTI leaders Fahim Khan and Jamil Ahmad in alleged Senate election bribe case under election act.

Additional Sessions Judge Umeed Ali Baloch will indict the three accused on May 31.

These three accused have filed surety bonds worth Rs 20000 each in the court.
During the previous hearing these three were directed to submit surety bonds of Rs 20000 each.

Election commission had filed application for initiating criminal proceedings against Ali Haider Gilani and others on corrupt practices.

Punishment can be awarded of 3 years jail term and fine amounting to Rs one lac each under section 167 and 168.
