RAWALPINDI, Sep 26 (Online): Judge Masroor Zaman of special court of Anti Corruption Rawalpindi has indicted PML-N leader Chaudhry Tanvir Ahmad Khan, his son Daniyal Chaudhry and other accused in the case pertaining to construction of Walayat Complex.
The accused persons while declaring the case a political vendetta have pleaded not guilty.
The counsels for Chaudhry Tanvir has filed acquittal plea for him under section 249 of criminal procedure.
Chaudhry Tanvir appeared in the court and charge sheet was read out to him,. However he pleaded not guilty saying this case has been registered merely on the basis of political vendetta and it has nothing to do with the reality.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case for regular trial till October 8.
