ISLAMABAD, AUG 24 (ONLINE): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted unconditional apology of the police officers in contempt of court case for appearing in court without making preparations in important cases.
The court withdrew the contempt of court show cause notices against SP police and SDPO Industrial area .
A single bench of IHC led by Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri took up the case for hearing Thursday.
SP and SDPO have filed written reply under court’s orders.
Justice Tariq Jahangiri remarked ‘ you are young officers. The court does not want to ruin your career. This is not appropriate that I say I will send SP or IG to jail. If I impose contempt of court on you then your career will be ruined.
Justice Tariq Jahangiri remarked Investigation officers don’t work. You should tell how the system will be corrected. Such incident can occur with any relative of mine and yours tomorrow. The police station is located nearby high court but the record has not been produced so far.
The learned judge remarked should we let any person to remain in jail due to non bringing of record by investigation officer. DIG and IG were summoned by us but no improvement has come.
