Confusion surrounds long march’s resumption

ISLAMABAD / LAHORE – November 7 (ONLINE) Confusion erupted regarding the resumption date for PTI’s long march Monday, as different PTI leaders came up with different announcements.

PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday had announced that the march will continue from the very same spot in Wazirabad where it was interrupted by an assassination attempt on him (Imran). He said Tuesday would be the day for long march’s resumption.

However on Monday, a day later, Imran Khan announced that the date was shifted and the march would now commence from Wazirabad on Wednesday. “The whole nation is ready and we will only come back once the elections are announced,” Imran said Monday.

PTI leader Faisal Javed Khan however said that the party’s long march will resume on Nov 10, Thursday. “Long march to resume from Wazirabad on 10th November 2022 (Thursday),” Faisal tweeted.

In another tweet, PTI leader Asad Umar, while sharing the rundown of the party’s long march — said that he will lead marchers in the Faisalabad division on Friday.
In a series of tweets, Umar said that the march from Faisalabad will begin in Toba Tek Singh and pass through Sargodha, Jhang, Chiniot and Jaranwala.
