ISLAMABAD, June 01 (Online): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said a committee has been established to address the challenges faced by the medical education sector in the country.
Addressing the first convocation of HBS Medical and Dental College in Islamabad Saturday, he said this committee will assess the demand and supply gap of medical education in the country. He said it will review the standard of recognition of the private sector medical colleges to ensure quality education.
The Deputy Prime Minister said the government has emphasized the provision of accessible and affordable healthcare facilities for everyone. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has undertaken various initiatives for strengthening medical education, enhancement of faculty and upgradation of medical infrastructure.
Referring to the country’s potential, the Deputy Prime Minister said we are committed to bringing a new level of economic prosperity in the country.
