ISLAMABAD, April 15 (Online): Important revelations have been made regarding alleged corruption of former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and his son Chaudhry Moonis Elahi.
Both are found owners of several Benami and illegal properties in SPAIN.
One of their frontman who is Naib Qasid in health department Punjab is shareholder of millions of rupees in Rahim Yar Khan sugar mills.
According to sources NAB Lahore while investigating the corruption of Pervez Elahi family had written letter to Spain authorities and its reply has been received.
According go Spain authorities Moonis Elahi accumulated assets worth over Rs 400 millions in Spain in the recent days. They include three parking plazas and one storage hall.
Barcelona hotel and a multi storey plaza in Barcelona are owned by Pervez Elahi family. One Saqib Tahir is caretaker of this property.
This family too is owner of gardens, plazas, old constructed buildings in Kenari islands.
According to details provided by Spanish authorities, Moonis Elahi holds residential permit of Spain. The apartments in front of Diagonal mar commercial centre and 23 CD Joseph plaza are also owned by this family.
Moonis Elahi is residing in these apartments since December 2022. In the recent days he has purchased 250 taxis on bank lease and he has launched taxi service in Spain. Saqib Tahir and Chaudhry Imtiaz are front men of Pervez Elahi family in Spain.
Nawaz Bhatti, Naib Qasid of health department Punjab and one unemployed student Mazhar Abbas are owners of shares worth Rs 480 million of Rahim Yar Khan sugar mills. Later these shares will be transferred in the name of Moonis Elahi.
Chaudhry family is busy in accumulating illegal wealth through corruption and Benami companies.
NAB has extended its scope of investigation after the details of corruption have come to public.
Anti corruption Punjab is already investigating into the matter of taking bribe of Rs 120 million by Chaudhry Pervez Elahi from a company.
