Case against Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar for keeping two offices of federal minister, member PBC

ISLAMABAD, FEB 09 (ONLINE): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed the respondents to file reply in two weeks in the case against holding two offices by federal minister.

The case against holding of dual offices including federal minister and member of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) by senator Azam Nazeer Tarar came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice IHC Amir Farooq Thursday.

Munawwar Iqbal Dugal and Additional Attorney General (AAG) appeared on behalf of the federation while Umar advocate appeared from Pakistan Bar Council side and Qamar Sabzwari represented Azam Nazir Tarar in the court.

Advocate Pervez Inayat told the court the respondents have not filed written reply so far. I have written letters more than one times. They are delaying the matter.

The court remarked “don’t do so. New attorney general has come.

CJ IHC directed additional attorney general that new attorney general has come therefore, he should file reply.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till March 14.
