Caretaker Sindh government should send proposals regarding transfer of officers: CEC

ISLAMABAD 31 August (Online): Chief Election Commissioner has written letter to Caretaker Chief Minister (CM) Sindh in which he said that it is regrettable that there is no preparation for the transfer of senior administrative officers in province.

Caretaker Sindh government should send proposals regarding transfer of officers for approval.

It has been said in context of letter that Election Commission (EC) had directed the provincial government to transfer senior administrative officers, Commissioner, deputy commissioner and additional commissioner.

Chief Election Commissioner said in a letter that Election Commission had also asked for transfer of police officers including RPO’s, DPO’s and also directed that neutral officers be appointed to monitor the elections.

Chief Election Commissioner said in a letter that Election Commission (EC) did not receive any suggestions from caretaker government of Sindh in this regard.

He said that caretaker Sindh government should send the suggestions regarding transfer of officers to EC for approval within a week.

EC will take steps to appoint DRO’s, RO’s and ARO’s for elections.
