Cabinet takes important decisions regarding audios related to diplomatic ciphers

Islamabad: Dated 30 September 2022 (Online) : A cabinet meeting was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which the issue of audio leaks was discussed in detail. The meeting endorsed the decision of the National Security Committee (NSC) to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

However, expressed serious concern over the fact that the audios of the former prime minister, former principal secretary to the prime minister and other persons related to the diplomatic cipher have exposed the criminal conspiracy of the former government and Prime Minister Imran Niazi.

A diplomatic ‘cipher’ was given fictitious meanings to kill key national interests for political gain and stolen after ‘fraud, forgery, ‘fabrication’. This is a serious violation of the constitutional oath, other relevant laws, regulations, especially the ‘Official Secrets Act’.

It is an unforgivable crime against the state by giving priority to political interests over key state interests. Therefore, according to the constitution, law and regulations, it is necessary to investigate this whole matter carefully and to determine the responsible parties and punish them strictly according to the law.

A briefing was given to the cabinet on the issue of diplomatic cipher, in which it was revealed that the copy of the relevant diplomatic cipher is missing from the records of the Prime Minister House.

The meeting was told that although there is a record of the receipt of this cipher sent to the former prime minister at the Prime Minister House, but its copy is not available in the record.

According to the law, this copy is the property of Prime Minister House. The meeting declared that theft of diplomatic cipher records is a serious matter.

After detailed consultation, the cabinet formed a special committee of the cabinet which will determine the legal action against all the involved roles, ex-prime minister, ex-principal secretary to prime minister, senior ministers.

The cabinet committee will include the representatives of the coalition parties in the government, besides the ministers of the ministries of foreign affairs, interior, and law.

The Cabinet meeting condemned in the strongest terms the harassment, intimidation, intimidation, vulgarity, indecent acts, and surrounding and chasing the PTI workers in London to the Information and Broadcasting Minister Ms. Maryam Aurangzeb.

The meeting also stated that PTI and its leadership have not only subjected male political opponents, especially women, to indecency and bad language, but have always adopted a very reprehensible attitude towards women journalists.

Apart from this, the attitude of PTI and its chairman towards women in general has always been biased; biased and insulting which is less to be condemned. All Pakistanis including every section of the society should condemn this unacceptable behavior.

On the recommendation of the Ministry of Law and Justice, the Federal Cabinet approved the filing of an explanatory reference by the President of Pakistan on the recommendation of the Prime Minister regarding the previous decision of the Supreme Court regarding the construction of the Reqo Dek project of the federal government and the Balochistan government.
