ISLAMABAD 04 May (Online): Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan has initiated legal action against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (Pmln) vice president Maryam Nawaz and sent her legal notice on Thursday.
Legal notice was issued through advocate Faisal Fareed for false allegation leveled by Maryam Nawaz on Bushra Bibi during a speech in Lahore on May 1.
Bushra Bibi demanded unconditional apology within the period of seven days. She also demanded her to take her all allegation statements back.
It is said in notice that Bushra Bibi is veiled woman and Maryam Nawaz is intentionally running organized campaign to malign her and her family.
Under defamation and criminal code of conduct she could be jailed for 5-year punishment for issuing disinformation, dishonor and accusation and abuse for political purposes, wrote in notice.
Text of Maryam Nawaz’s speech of allegation was also made part of notice.
It has been warned in notice that in case of not taking statement back and issuing unconditional apology she will be brought to dock.
