ISLAMABAD: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid said Monday that the programme is facilitating access to financial assistance for deserving women through transparency, convenience and modern technology.
She was talking to former Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Sajid Hussain Turi and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Labour Wing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Shah Zulqarnain, who called on her at BISP Headquarters.
Senator Rubina Khalid said BISP is playing an important role in providing social protection to deserving and low-income families.
The meeting discussed matters of mutual interest, party organizational activities, issues confronting the working class and social protection, as well as measures to make social protection initiatives more effective for working-class and low-income people.
Sajid Hussain Turi and Shah Zulqarnain appreciated BISP’s initiatives and efforts to ensure the provision of facilities to deserving families.
The participants agreed to continue coordination and cooperation for public welfare. At the conclusion of the meeting, Senator Rubina Khalid thanked the guests.
