BHC declares maintainable petition seeking proceedings against Imran Khan under article 6

QUETTA, May 09 (Online): Balochistan High Court (BHC) has declared maintainable the petition seeking proceedings against PTI chairman Imran Khan under article 6 of the constitution.

The petition regarding proceedings against Imran Khan under article 6 came up for hearing in BHC Tuesday.

BHC bench comprising Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Amir Nawaz Rana heard the case.

The court while declaring the petition maintainable has sought reply from the respondents.

The petition has been filed by advocate Abdul Razzaq Shar making Imran Khan, government of Pakistan and Attorney General (AG) respondents.

The petitioner has taken the plea that Supreme Court (SC) declared the step for dissolution of national assembly unconstitutional. Proceedings of high treason case be initiated against Imran Khan.

The court while summoning reply has adjourned the proceedings till May 29.
