Islamabad OCTOBER 20 (Online): Bad news for electricity consumers as another request to increase price of electricity has come.
In the application, it is recommended to increase the cost of electricity by 55 paisa per unit.
An application has been submitted in NEPRA to impose an additional burden of 8.37 billion rupees on consumers of DISCOS.

It has been stated in application that 12.92 billion unit of electricity were sold in September.
RS 7.62 per unit electricity was produced by local coal and RS 15.78 per unit electricity was produced by imported coal.
RS 37.4 per unit electricity was produced by several furnace oils.
RS 24.18 natural gas and RS 13.52 per unit electricity were produced by RLNG.
RS 23.79 per unit electricity was imported from Iran.
NEPRA will hear the application on November 1st.
