ISLAMABAD, Aug 29 (Online): World countries have announced support for flood affectees in Pakistan besides expressing solidarity following the appeal by government of Pakistan .
Canada, France, Qatar, UAE, Turkey and Azerbaijan have expressed resolve to support Pakistan.
Azerbaijan has announced support to the tune of 20 lac dollars.
The religious leader of Catholic Christians, Pope Francis appealed to the international community for help for flood-hit Pakistan.
In one of his statements, Pope Francis said that we should all pray for the countless victims, injured and homeless people of the flood.
Pope Francis said that the international community should show solidarity and help the Pakistani flood victims.

Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, says his country is providing support to Pakistan through United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund and Red Cross Canada to provide food, clean water and other essential services as quickly as possible.
In a Tweet, he said like many other Canadians, he is also thinking of everyone, affected by devastated flooding in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Canadian Foreign Minister, Melanie Joly, in a Tweet message, also expressed her deep concerns about the flood situation saying that we will continue to support the people of Pakistan.
She said the images of floods in Pakistan are absolutely heart-breaking.
Melanie Joly said my heart is with the victims, their families and Pakistanis everywhere.
The Canadian Minister for International Development, Harjit Sajjan also expressed grief over the losses due to floods.
He said my thoughts are with those who have lost family members, and the millions, who have seen their homes overwhelmed and destroyed by these deadly floods.
Harjit Sajjan said we will continue to monitor the situation and look at more ways to support the people of Pakistan.
He said Canadian government has donated 20000 dollars to international federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies for relief activities by government of Pakistan.
The Palestinian Presidency announced launching a popular donation campaign for the victims of Pakistan’s floods, through the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, in support of the Pakistani people in facing this great ordeal, which claimed the lives of large numbers of dead, injured and homeless in all Pakistani provinces.
The presidency indicated that President Mahmoud Abbas issued his instructions to send a Palestinian medical mission formed by the Ministry of Health, the Palestinian Red Crescent and the Civil Defense, to provide all possible assistance to the wounded and affected, and to contribute to rescuing and providing the necessary treatment.
The presidency affirms that President Mahmoud Abbas offers condolences to the Pakistani government and the brotherly Pakistani people for this great loss, wishing Pakistan and its people stability and prosperity in the face of this natural disaster. He praised the honorable and unwavering stances of Pakistan and its brotherly people in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause in international forums at all levels in preserving the Palestinian land and sanctities.
