LAHORE, Dec 19 (Online): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has rejected the plea of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi seeking restoration of interim bail in 6 cases related to May 9 arson and siege incidents.
Judge Arshid Javed of ATC took up the case for hearing Tuesday.
The court rejected the bail plea being not persuaded by the counsel of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Islamabad police had arrested Shah Mehmood Qureshi on May 10 till late night for fanning the protest demonstrations following the arrest of former chairman PTI Imran Khan.
On May 18, IHC had nullified his arrest under 3- MPO and ordered to release him on a petition filed against his detention. Later order for his release was given on May 23. However he was arrested outside Adiala jail again.
On June 6, Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench while declaring detention of Shah Mehmood Qureshi illegal ordered for his immediate release. He was released from Adiala jail Rawalpindi.
Later FIA had arrested Shah Mehmood Qureshi from Islamabad on August 20 and he was nominated in the cipher case registered under official secret act-1923.
