Army troops continuously engaged in relief, rescue operations in flood hit areas of Taunsa, DG Khan, Rajanpur

RAWALPINDI, Aug 22 (Online): Pakistan Army troops are continously engaged in relief and rescue operations in flood affected areas of Taunsa, DG Khan and Rajanpur in coordination with civil administration at a massive level.

In Taunsa, DG Khan 2029 locals including elderly, women and children stranded in flooded areas were rescued by Pakistan Army troops through boats to relief camps where cooked food, drinking water and household goods were provided. 3000 ration bags were distributed amongst the affectees.

Troops from Pakistan Army’s medical battalion busy attending to the sick and wounded in the medical camps established in DG Khan and Rajanpur.

The medical camps were established many times previously as well and currently, they are in place since yesterday working continuously to support the population.

More than 2500 patients have been provided free medical treatment and medicines.

In Rajanpur, 4000 ration bags have been distributed and more than 3000 patients were provided free medical treatment and medicines at the medical camps established by Pakistan Army.
