ISLAMABAD, Dec 29 (Online): Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif and army chief Gen Syed Asim Munir have expressed their resolve to deal with the monster of terrorism with full force.
The sources told Online that army chief Syed Asim Munir called on the PM Shahbaz Sharif in PM House on Thursday.
The two exchanged views on law and order situation in the country and national security related matters.
Sources said the meeting between the two leaders lasted 30 minutes.
Army chief gave briefing to PM on law and order situation in the country. The National Security Committee (NSC) meeting to be held on Friday also came under discussion.
The matter of curbing the recent wave of terrorism in the country will come under consideration in the NSC meeting on Friday. The military authorities will give briefing on terrorism and Afghan border situation in the meeting. Briefing will also be given on implementation of National Action Plan.
Sources said army chief also informed PM with reference to the recommendations of 2-day Corps commander conference.
The two leaders while reiterating their resolve said the protection of life and property of people will be ensured at every cost.
