LAHORE, Dec 23 (APP):About 87 Hindu yatrees returned to their homeland, India, through Wagha border crossing here on Thursday after completing their religious rituals.
Additional Secretary Shrines Raja Shahid presented gifts to the yatrees on the behalf of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) chairman. The yatrees had come to Pakistan from India to visit the Krishna Mandir at Ravi Road here on Wednesday and perform their religious rituals.
The ETPB officials and local Hindu leaders were also present, Talking to the media, party leader Sanjeeve Kumar said that the yatrees thanked the Pakistan government and the Board for making good arrangements including security and accommodation for them.
He said that minorities were enjoying complete freedom in Pakistan. He also appreciated the steps taken by the Board for the look after and renovation of their gurdwaras.
