743 discos employees dismissed, punished in assisting electricity theft

ISLAMABAD July 27 (Online): 743 employees of various discos who assisted in electricity theft have been given other punishments including dismissal from the job.
411 employees of Hyderabad Electric Supply Corporation (HESCO), Pesco, Gipco and Quetta have been given the most punishments for electricity theft.

None of the employees of Electric Supply was involved in other crimes including electricity theft.
According to the documents submitted to the Senate by the Ministry of Energy, a total of 743 employees in various discos across the country were charged with the crime of providing assistance in electricity theft.

According to the documents, other punishments including dismissal have been given. In Peshawar Electric Supply Corporation, Quetta Electric Supply Corporation and Gujranwala Electric Supply Corporation, where the electricity complaints are highest, the employees working in the discos turned out to be the most honest and any employee. has not been found involved in providing assistance in electricity theft.
