500 people trapped in the flood area shifted to safe places, DG PDMA

LAHORE 18 July (Online): Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab Faisal Fareed has said that due to heavy rain, 21 places have been flooded due to flooding in the rain drains of the hilly areas of Rajanpur district (Kuh Sulaiman).

Flood relief camps have been set up in Rajanpur and Tehsil Jampur.
where doctors, medicine and other staff are on duty 24 hours a day, more than 175 tents have been set up in the affected areas, where 132 people from 14 families are living. Supply of necessities of life to the affected people is being ensured.

The relief operation is going on in the areas, Rescue 1122 Department of Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Civil Defence, Department of Finance, and other departments and volunteers are also participating in the relief operation.

DGP DMA further said that the rescue relief operation has been completed in Tehsil Isa Khel of Mianwali, the affected people have left for their homes from the relief camps, and the district administration will estimate the losses in the affected areas.

DGP DDMA also congratulated the departments participating in the rescue relief operation in the affected areas of Tehsil Isa for completing the rescue operation on time and appreciated their performance.
