UK charity commission moved for initiation of action against Imran Khan

LONDON, AUG 27 (Online): Charity Commission UK has been moved for initiation of action against PTI chairman Imran Khan for collecting funds in the name of charity by lying and deceiving the people in UK and using them for political purposes.

An application has been sent by PML-N UK legal wing head and President Chaudhry Ansar Mehmood to chairman charity commission calling for action against Imran Khan in the light of decision of election commission of Pakistan and Financial Times.

The application said we are gravely concerned over news item published in Financial Times on July 28, 2022 wherein it is stated that funds collected in the name of charity have been used for political purposes.

The news item of Financial Times identifies clear immoral nexus between Wooten cricket limited and PTI headed by Imran Khan.

Arif Naqvi organized a luncheon in Oxfordshire for collecting charity. This invitation was advertised that donations will be received for charity purposes. The tickets were sold out at the cost ranging between 2000 to 2500 pounds per ticket.

Arif Naqvi was arrested in April 2019 in UK and he was granted bail from London court against the highest amount of Rs 15 million pounds. He is detained at his home in London at present. Arif Naqvi is facing 200 years imprisonment in US. He arranged all the funds for a political party.

Investigations are underway against Arif Naqvi and Ibraj group which are involved in fraud in US.
