ABUJA Sep 03 (Online): 7 worshipers were martyred and many others were injured as a result of shooting in a mosque in the northwestern state of Kaduna, Nigeria.
According to a foreign news agency, unknown persons opened fire at a mosque in a remote village in Kaduna state when a large number of worshipers were engaged in worship.
More than 10 worshipers who were injured in the firing were shifted to a nearby hospital, some of whom are said to be in serious condition.
Kaduna Police Spokesman Mansoor Haruna told Reuters that the search for the attackers is ongoing so far no extremist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
