Elections will be held in year, army nothing to do with elections: Prime Minister Kakar

NEW YORK Sep 24 (Online): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that the elections will be held in the New Year itself; the army has nothing to do with the general elections.

General elections can be held without Chairman PTI and his jailed associates involved in illegal activities.

In an interview to the American news agency, Anwarul Haq Kakar said that fair elections can be held even without the chairman PTI and hundreds of workers of his party who are in jail for involvement in vandalism and illegal activities.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that the elections will be held in the New Year itself, while the military intervention in the elections is not true, the army has nothing to do with the general elections.

The Caretaker Prime Minister said that the Election Commission is responsible for conducting the voting while the current head of the Election Commission is appointed by the Chairman PTI, so why would he oppose him?

He also said that no personal vendetta is being taken from anyone, action will be taken according to law, be it Chairman PTI or any other politician wants supremacy of law.

Earlier, in an interview to American TVCNN, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that the elections are sure to be held on time and those who influence the election will be dealt with according to the law.
