5.0-magnitude quake hits 57 km NNW of Fayzabad, Afghanistan — USGS

HONG KONG, Sept. 2 (Xinhua/APP):An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 57 km NNW of Fayzabad, Afghanistan at 04:50 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 37.6133 degrees north latitude and 70.3781 degrees east longitude.
