ISLAMABAD, Jul 10 (APP): The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration sprang into action after heavy rains in the federal capital.
Waterlogging on roads became a major issue, and in response, district administration officers were on the ground working to manage the situation.
Drainage operations are underway, supported by teams from MCI and CDA. Various drains are being closely monitored to prevent flooding.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, has directed an acceleration of the drainage process. He also praised the pre-monsoon preparations, noting that no major flooding has been reported.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the cleaning of drains was helping maintain the water flow.
All Assistant Commissioners and Magistrates were stationed on highways to ensure smooth traffic, the DC added.
