CHITRAL, Dec 3 (APP)::Board of Revenue (BoR) here on Saturday has launched e-stamp to prevent fraudulent practices related to documentation and the limitation of reduction in the collection of government revenue is to be determined.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Irfan was the chief guest at its launching ceremony while Assistant Director BoR Abdul Wahab Khan, Assistant Director BoR Software Sahibzada Muhammad Shuja, Manager National Bank of Pakistan Amjad Ahmed Sani and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, AD BoR Abdul Wahab Khan said that e-stamp would facilitate people in verification process and collect it through bank receipt as per their requirement. He said that women can also apply for stamp paper sitting at home.
He said in the past, some people used to take out stamp paper in back date for forgery and tempering, and often occupied lands of other people illegally through forged documents.
We have launched e-stamp in ten other districts of the province and Chitral is the eleventh district where e-stamp is launched today, he said.
Assistant Director Software Sahibzada Muhammad Shuja said that the e-stamp would help avoid fraud and forgery or any tempering which was done earlier through manual stamp papers.
Bank Manager Amjad Ahmed Sani said that a separate counter would be established inside the bank for obtaining e-stamps, where people could get required stamp paper by depositing the actual amount of e-stamp.
