LAHORE 21 Mar (Online): The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday announced a revised schedule for national side’s upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand. The PCB and New Zealand Cricket “unanimously agreed to make [the] tweaks”, according to the former’s statement.
Instead of kicking off their tour with the first four of the five Twenty20 Internationals in Karachi according to the initial schedule, the BlackCaps will land in Lahore for the first three games from April 14-17.
They then move to Rawalpindi for the last two T20s and the opening One-day International of the five-match series, which culminates in Karachi on May 7.
Reportedly, the changes in the itinerary of the tour — a compensatory one by the New Zealanders for their abrupt withdrawal from their visit back in 2021 — have been made due to the expected general elections in Punjab.
Schedule:
April 14: First T20I, Lahore
April 15: Second T20I, Lahore
April 17: Third T20I, Lahore
April 20: Fourth T20I, Rawalpindi
April 24: Fifth T20I, Rawalpindi
April 26: First ODI, Rawalpindi
April 30: Second ODI, Karachi
May 3: Third ODI, Karachi
