Pak wins second test of SA series by 95 runs

Team Pakistan won the second test of the maiden series 2-0 against South Africa since 2003, by a lead of 95-runs in the final match held in Rawalpindi on Monday.

Hassan Ali, Pakistan’s medium pace maker taking 5-60 recorded his best match figures of 10-114, by attacking the batting line of the South African team which completely bowled out at 274 runs. 

Moreover, the performance of Opener Aiden Markram, who chased 108 and Temba Bavuma scoring 61 runs added a greater deal to the set target of 370.

A total score of 106 was further added to their partnership until Hasan Ali took the fourth major wicket turning Markram’s resistance upside down with the second new ball of the over. 

Pakistan having lost eight and drawn three, the 2-0 win is the maiden victory over South Africa in 12 matches so far. 

It is pertinent to be stated here that Pakistan won the first match of the series by seven wickets in Karachi whereas the only win over South Africa for Pakistan took place lastly in a two-match series in 2003. 

Both the teams are scheduled to play three Twenty-20 (T-20) international matches on 11,13 and 14 February in Lahore.
