Oslo (PNI) Manchester United and Leeds United played a pre-season friendly on July 12, 2023, at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, Norway. The match ended in a 2-0 victory for Manchester United, with goals from Joe Hugill and Noam Emeran.
This was the first time that the two teams had met since March 2020, when Leeds won 3-2 in the Premier League. The match was also the first time that Erik ten Hag had taken charge of Manchester United in a competitive match.

The result was a good start for Manchester United under Ten Hag, and will give them confidence heading into the new season. Leeds will be disappointed with the result, but will be hoping to improve when they return to Premier League action in August.
