ISLAMABAD – Februaru 5 (ONLINE): Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq lashed out at Karachi Kings’ captain Babar Azam after his team faced defeat against Peshawar Zalmi at Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 Eleventh fixture on Friday.
Although Babar Azam remained not out at 90 runs and played a good individual knock, his team still could not reach the target of 174 as the Kings fell short by just nine runs.
“If you are the world’s number one cricket player and stands on wicket throughout 20 overs then you should be finishing the match otherwise get out without playing complete overs” said Inzamam while talking to a private news channel after the match between Kings and the Zalmis.
Inzamam said that Karachi Kings’ playing eleven and batting order was not ‘good enough to beat Zalmis’.
World’s No.1 ranked T20I batsman Babar Azam faced the first and the last ball of the innings but was far from his best despite finishing at 90 not out. His 63-ball innings included 12 fours and a six.
