ISLAMABAD July 23 (Online): Pakistan has good news from the squash field, Hamza Khan of Pakistan becomes world champion of junior squash champion.
Pakistan became squash champion after 37 years.
Last time a Pakistani made the finals was Amir Atlas in 2008 and Pakistan won championship last time in 1986.
Hamza Khan won world championship 2023 on Sunday when he beated Muhammad Zakaria of Egypt.
Australian city Melbourne hosted the final of junior squash championship 2023 on Sunday.
Muhammad Zakaria won first round of game by 12-14 afterward Hamza Khan beated him in next three rounds with 14-12, 11-3 and 11-6 and won championship title for Pakistan after 37 years.
PM Shahbaz Shareef congratulated Hamza Khan on his victory and hoped that Pakistan will become unbeatable in future once again.
According to statement issued by media wing of PM office PM thanked Hamza Khan for winning world squash title for Pakistan after 37 years.
Hamza Khan’s victory reminded the era of Jan Sher Khan, said in statement.

On Twitter on Sunday, the information minister congratulated Hamza Khan for becoming the World Junior Squash Champion. She wrote the honor which was earned by Jan Sher Khan for the country in 1986 was brought back by Hamza Khan after 37 years.
