LAHORE Aug 20 (Online): Pakistan’s former Test cricketer and former International Cricket Council (ICC) match referee Naushad Ali passed away in Islamabad.
Pakistan’s former test cricketer Naushad Ali was 80 years old, after performing the funeral prayer at H-8 Islamabad, he was buried in the local cemetery.
Naushad Ali represented Pakistan in 6 test matches as a wicket-keeper batsman.
After his retirement from the game, he refereed 13 One Day Internationals and 5 Tests.
Late Naushad Ali played first class cricket from 1960 to 1979, during which time he scored 9 centuries and 20 fifties in 83 first class matches.
Naushad Ali represented Pakistan in 6 Test matches, he is also a former ICC referee. Chairman Management Committee Zaka Ashraf and other members have expressed grief over the death of Naushad Ali.
Zaka Ashraf said that Nowshad Ali’s family is equally involved in the grief.
