World Cup, Harbhajan and Ravi Shastri’s criticism of Pakistani spinners

MUMBAI Oct 03 (Online): Two former cricketers of the Indian cricket team openly criticized the spin attack of the Pakistani team.

In an interview to foreign media, India’s former head coach Ravi Shastri and spinner Harbhajan Singh also expressed concern over the prospects of the national team in the knockout stage of the ICC World Cup.

Ravi Shastri said that after the injury of fast bowler Naseem Shah, the Pakistani team has looked weak in bowling, while in the spin department, green shirts do not have good bowlers like in the past.

On this occasion, Harbhajan Singh also supported Ravi Shastri and said that the quality of Pakistan spin bowling has decreased a lot.

He criticized the bowling of vice-captain Shadab and said that he seems satisfied with giving 50, 60 runs without taking a wicket, such mentality is harmful for the spinner.

He said that if Pakistani spinners play with the same mindset, they will fail to win important matches.

In the past, Pakistan had great spinners like Saqlain Mushtaq, Saeed Ajmal, and Shahid Afridi, which is missing.
