ISLAMABAD AUG 10 (Online): Former Indian opening batsman, Virender Sehwag, has revealed his top four teams for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup in India later this year in October.
In a recent interview, Sehwag employed his cricketing acumen to single out four teams that he believes will excel in the tournament, basing his choices on their distinctive gameplay.
Sehwag’s discerning eye has spotlighted India, Pakistan, Australia, and England as the quartet that will secure spots in the prestigious ICC ODI World Cup 2023 semi-finals.
“If I have to pick four teams – Australia, England, India and Pakistan. These are the semi-finalists. Australia and England will surely be there because the kind of cricket they are playing – they don’t play conventional shots, only unconventional – these 2 teams are pretty good at it. Also, England and Australia are the two away teams who can play better cricket in the sub-continent,” Sehwag said.
The ICC World Cup 2023 is slated to take place in India during October and November, featuring a total of 10 participating teams. The tournament is set to kick off on October 5, with the final match scheduled for November 19.
