LAHORE Oct 13 (Online): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has convinced the International Cricket Council (ECC) on the tweet of Muhammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batter of the national cricket team made tweet about Palestine.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said that the wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan did nothing wrong.
The cricketer only dedicated his Man of the Match award to the Palestinians.
World Council officials were also satisfied with this explanation.
It should be remembered that the wicket-keeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan, who played an important role in the record-setting victory against Sri Lanka in the ICC World Cup, gave his award to the oppressed brothers and sisters of Gaza.
He further wrote in the tweet that he was happy to play a role in the team’s victory; the credit for the win goes to the entire team especially Abdullah Shafiq and Hasan Ali who made it easy.
Muhammad Rizwan’s mention of Palestine did not go unnoticed by the Indian media and they tried to get the ICC to take some action against Rizwan, but the team management failed him.
Sources said that the International Cricket Council had spoken to the management regarding this tweet.
However, they were told that there was nothing political about it, the cricketer only dedicated the Man of the Match award to the Palestinians, and did not said anything else.
According to sources, there is no complete ban on the use of social media on the Pakistani team in India.
Players can talk in general about the match, but are always instructed to stay away from controversial issues.
