Gladiators’ win in the eliminator

Abu Dhabi: Deccan Gladiators opener and skipper Nicholas Pooran and Kohler Tom-Cadmore pulverised Bangla Tigers’ attack to record an emphatic ten-wicket win in the eliminator of the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Pooran hit a rollicking unbeaten 70 off just 25 balls with eight boundaries and five sixes while consistent Kohler-Cadmore remained unconquered on 43 off 16 balls with four boundaries and three sixes to race past Bangla Tigers challenging total of 112 for 6 in 10 overs with 20 balls to spare.

Bangla Tigers looked to have set a winning total through Gulbadin Naib, playing his first match, cracking an unbeaten 52 off 26 balls with three boundaries and two sixes.

Deccan Gladiators needed only 16 runs to win at the half way mark and the pair’s century partnership came in 5.1 overs. Pooran hit the winning boundary off the fourth ball of the seventh over.
