Arsenal reaches agreement for Jesus

LONDON, UK – June 25 (ONLINE) Premier League club Arsenal have reached an agreement with Manchester City for buying Gabriel Jesus, it emerged Saturday.

According to Sky Sports, the deal is not finalized yet, as much more still remains unsettled, including medical and personal terms but the fee is understood to be £45m.

Media reports had earlier claimed that both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs were interested in signing the Brazilian, but Jesus is reportedly sold on the chance to be the focal point of Arsenal’s attack.

Jesus scored eight goals for Manchester City in 2021-22 season in 28 appearances. Overall, Jesus has scored a total of 58 goals for the club in his 159 appearances.

The majority of Jesus’ goals for the Citizens have come from him taking up smart positions inside the box, so there is plenty of optimism of him producing consistent output if regular chances are created.
