ISLAMABAD, May 25 (Online): Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson has said Pakistan embassy has sought counselor access in connection with arrest of Moona Khan, Pakistani anchor and Marathon runner in Greece.
FO spokesperson said in a statement that Pakistan embassy in Greece is ascertaining causes to the arrest of Moona Khan’ Pakistan embassy is also in contact with Malik Yousuf running coach of Moona Khan.
It is pertinent to mention here Moona Khan had gone to Greece for hiking where she was arrested by Greece authority for waving Pakistani flag.
Yousuf who is coach of Moona Khan said Police have taken into custody mobile phone of Moona Khan. My latest contact with Moona Khan had taken place today. Moona Khan had left her seven years old son in Ethens. She is anchor person in state run TV.
Moona Khan said Greece Police have maltreated her.
According to sources Moona Khan has been kept in jail and she will be presented in court on Monday.
