LAHORE – March 9 (ONLINE) Former Pakistan cricketer Aqib Javed has said the pitch prepared for historic Rawalpindi test between Pakistan and Australia was ‘injustice with players and fans’.
Talking to news channel, Javed urged Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to prepare pitches in Lahore and Karachi that would assist spinners.
“Time is over when majority of test matches ended in draw. Now nations play home series to take advantage of them” he said.
Aqib Javed said captain Babar Azam and coaches should formulate an attacking strategy against Australia. He said PCB should prepare pitches that assist Pakistan bowlers and spinners.
Former cricketer said recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) had created a cricketing atmosphere but Rawalpindi’s ‘dead pitch’ disappointed cricketing fans. He said Pakistan proved to the whole world that international cricket has resumed here.
