19-year-old Huraira amazes all with first-class triple ton

Islamabad – December 20 (Online): Sialkot born Muhammad Huraira became the second-youngest Pakistani after Javed Miandad to score a first-class triple century Monday.

According to media reports, Huraira, 19, and nephew of Pakistan international Shoib Malik reached this milestone on the third day of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match where Northern is playing against Balochistan.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) through its official twitter account lauded Huraira for his achievement calling his innings ‘monumental effort’.

“19-year-old Mohammad Huraira becomes the second youngest Pakistan batter to score a first-class triple century” PCB tweeted, sharing video of highlights of Huraira’s innings.

The Pakistani youngster is the ninth teenager in the world to smash a triple ton first-class cricket and the second Pakistani after Javed Miandad to score a triple century at 17.

He is also the eighth youngest batter, overall, to achieve this feat.
