Outdoor health services will be included in Naya Pakistan QoMI Sehat Sahulat card

Lahore, Feb 12 (Online): Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said on Saturday that outdoor healthcare services will be added to Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat Sahulat Card Program.

Speaking as chief guest at a Conference by Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians at a local hotel, the Health Minister said that 98% people have expressed satisfaction over the services provided through Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat Sahulat Card.

The Conference was attended by Education Minister Dr. Murad Raas, President PMA Lahore Chapter Professor Dr. Ashraf Nizami, Dr. Nadeem Khawaja, Professor Javed Chaudhry and a large number of doctors.

The Health Minister said, “We are making all out efforts to provide good quality healthcare services to people. We are battling Corona Pandemic according to a meticulously planned strategy.

The entire world has appreciated our response to the Pandemic. We opted for smart lockdowns and kept businesses open as per guidance by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Before the introduction of Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat card people had to take expensive treatment at private hospitals. Outdoor healthcare services are under consideration under the Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat card. We are working on a model to facilitate General Practitioners.

By 31st March all families of Punjab shall be given Naya Pakistan Sehat Sahulat cards. Those criticizing our government must ask people getting free treatment worth hundreds of thousands of rupees. So far over 15000 people got free eye treatment.

Over 700 people have got free cardiac treatment facility in Lahore Division alone. We have been battling Corona Pandemic for last two years and providing door to door vaccination services. Free treatment worth hundreds of thousands of rupees has been provided to COVID-19 patients.

In the last one- and- a-half years we have not seen a polio case. We are spending tax payers’ money on people alone unlike last government.
Through Punjab Health Foundation we have given away interest-free loans worth Rs. 320 million. We have sent summary for endowment fund of PHF.

Eight Mother and Child Hospitals are being developed in Punjab. No government ever spent such huge budget on health. We are sending Rs. 400 billion on health under Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat Card Program.”
