DRAP cracks down use of unlocked syringes

Kasur – September 21 (Online): Drug Regulatory Authority Pakistan (DRAP)’s crackdown against use of old-fashioned unlocked syringes is in full swing as it has banned the sale and use of 2cc, 2.5cc, 3cc and 5cc without old style disposable syringes.

Drug Inspectors are bound to destroy the stock and take legal action against dealers if this stock is found after November 30 and ensure the use of new auto lock syringe.

According to details, medical instruments factories have started the production of new auto lock syringe with noise, but taking advantage of the opportunity, the prices have increased due to lack of old lock syringe, which has forced wholesale dealers and pharmacy store owners to buy expensive syringes.
