13 lost lives, 2074 tested positive due to corona virus during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD, Jan 12 (Online): 13 patients succumbed to Covid-19 while 2074 persons tested positive in the country during the last 24 hours.

deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,309,248. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,987 on Wednesday.

As per the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) latest data 44120 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours of which 2074 returned positive taking the tally of infected persons to 1,309,248.

The positivity ratio stood at 4.7 percent.
According to province wise details 490,010 coronavirus cases have been reported in Sindh, 448,924 in Punjab 181,842 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 109,660 in Islamabad, 34,715 in Azad Kashmir 33,664 in Balochistan and 10,433 in Gilgit-Baltistan so far.

With 13 deaths during the last 24 hours, number of fatalities has surged to 28987.

According to NCOC statistics 13,083 casualties have been reported to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,691 in Sindh 5,945 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 748 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB so far..

1,259,699 patients have recovered in the country while 617 patients are reported to be in critical condition.

163,648,656 doses have been administered so far in the country.
