ISLAMABAD 25 July (Online): There has been a lot of debate on the Pakistani content being boring, repetitive and in some instances inappropriate to be on the screens. People working in the industry as well as the audience wanted to see something fresh and the new channel Green
Entertainment has been able to fill the void with its initial launch. There are dramas like Idiot, Kabli Pulao and even College gate which will not make to the mainstream television otherwise as we only get the typical family conflicts on big channels.
In an interview with Fuchsia, Imran Raza, the COO of Green Entertainment talked about writers initially having a problem with understanding the vision of Green. He shared that Green has a vision that it wants to be a family member of the audience. It wants to showcase Pakistani stories and be a teacher, a function that television used to perform in a family’s life back in the day.
He further talked about how initially writers could not understand the way Green wanted to handle things as they are now tuned to work a certain way. But they got the best people on-board and now the writers know that they have the whole field to show their creativity.
