MUMBAI, India – February 1 (ONLINE) Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s non-profit organization has announced the launch of the “Mera Bharat, Surakshit Bharat Initiative” in association with EC-Council, a cyber security certification body.
Speaking about the initiative, the actor said, “Our country is facing a significant resource crisis in cybersecurity, and I am proud to be a part of the solution through the ‘Mera Bharat, Surakshit Bharat Initiative’ scholarship program with EC-Council. By helping students and entry-level professionals gain the necessary skills and knowledge to defend against cyber threats, Sood Charity Foundation aims to build a stronger and more secure India. I urge all those passionate about cybersecurity to apply for the scholarship and take the first step towards a fulfilling career in this industry.”
Recently, Sonu Sood landed in controversy after he posted a video of him traveling on a footboard in a train. The Northern Railway took to their twitter handle to school the actor and posted, “Dear, @SonuSood, You are a role model for millions of people in the country and the world. Travelling on train steps is dangerous, and this type of video may send the wrong message to your admirers. Please do not do this! Enjoy a smooth and safe journey.” The actor was quick to issue an apology and stated that his gesture was to understand how lakhs of people feel when they travel on train doors everyday, unable to afford a confirmed ticket.
