Made on a budget of Rs 12 crore, the movie also starred Lisa Haydon and Rajkummar Rao in supporting roles. It emerged as a game-changer upon its release and marked a significant milestone in Kangana’s career.Last year, Vikas Bahl had expressed his desire to create a sequel to ‘Queen’.

In an interview with Bollywood Life, Bahl hinted at the possibility of ‘Queen 2’ and stressed that it would not be possible without Kangana Ranaut. Vikas also mentioned that he wouldn’t take credit for the praise Kangana Ranaut received for the film and told the portal “I will not take credit for that; Kangana is a brilliant actress, and I cannot imagine anyone else but only her for Queen 2. I will make the film only with her and no one else.” Interestingly, Kangana had positively reacted to this statement. The actress had shared a snippet of the news on her Instagram Stories and expressed her excitement with the caption ‘Yessss’.
‘Queen’ was a commercial hit and adored by audiences. Both viewers and critics lauded Kangana Ranaut for her impeccable portrayal of Rani Mehra. The film follows the journey of Rani, a traditional Delhi girl, who is jilted by her fiancé just days before their wedding. Undeterred, Rani embarks on a solo honeymoon to Paris, where she makes new friends and gains experiences that empower her to become independent and self-reliant.
