LAHORE, APRIL 21 (ONLINE): Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has accorded approval to establish first film city, film studio, post production Lab and first film school in Pakistan.
Land has been allocated for film city, film studio and post production Laboratory in Nawaz Sharif IT city.
First review of progress in the matter of design and other steps was completed.
8-member committee was constituted for restoration of film industry and its notification was issued.
The committee will release grant to film makers for promotion of film industry in Punjab in current fiscal year.
Senior provincial minister Maryam Aurangzeb will be convener of committee.
Provincial information minister Uzam Bokhari, finance minister Shuja ur Rehman, Sardar Ramesh Singh and others are part of the committee.
It was said in the notification that committee will review the applictions of film makers and film makng companies. The committee will review preparation of new films and script of incomplete scripts.
