Islamabad OCTOBER 13 (Online): Maira Khan is a prominent face in the industry. We have been watching her work as a model and actress for years now and she is very bold, blunt and never shies away from speaking out her mind. She was a guest on sajid Hasan’s show amd she opened up about some unknwon aspects of her personal life and they are shocking to say the keast and maira has been very brave to come out of everything in such a strong manner.
Maira revealed that she fled home with her mother at the age of 15. It was due to her father’s violent behaviour as he used to hit his mother a lot.
They fled to Lahore first and then she came back to Karachi and was staying with a cousin. That is when she went to a birthday party and met her husband. She was only 15 and a half by then and she got married to him who was 20 years old.
Her plight did not end there as she found out after Nikkah that her husband was already married and had two wives. She still went with him and lived at his family house for 8 years. Maira said that her husband supported her career as he was not capable of providing for her financially. He also did not want kids and later on due to many conflicts, she got divorced from him.
Maira revealed after her separation, her husband was living with his first wife as the second has also left by then. He was driving somewhere in Karachi and got murdered as he was caught in a crossfire.
