LAHORE, APRIL 14 (ONLINE): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore while announcing decision of renowned dramatist Khalil ur Rehman Qamar honey trap and kidnapping for ransom case has awarded punishment to 3 accused persons and acquitted the others.
Judge Arshid Javed while announcing the decision of the case awarded punishment of 7 years imprisonment to three accused including Aamna Urooj, Mamnoon Haider and Zeeshan .
The court however maintained the allegation of kidnapping could not be proved. Therefore, punishment was not awarded on this base.
The court acquitted Hassan Shah and other nominated persons due to insufficient evidence.
As per court 17 witnesses recorded their evidence from prosecution side. The decision was announced in the light of these evidences.
It is pertinent to mention here Khalil ur Rehman was allegedly trapped and kidnapped in this case. Later ransom was demanded from him.
