NEW DELHI, SEP 04 (ONLINE): Actor Deepak Tijori laughs as he recalls his time working with superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, saying that both the actors had a peculiar habit of rehearsing a lot before every scene. Deepak worked with the stars in films like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Baadshah and Ghulam.
In an interview with Radio Nasha, the actor was asked to choose between Shah Rukh and Aamir, who also appeared in a special appearance in Deepak’s film Pehla Nasha, marking it the only time the superstar duo shared a frame in any film.
“Both are equal to me because I would argue with them over the same thing, that they rehearse a lot! Uske baad mujhe takleef hoti thi. I was more impromptu and would tell them I would do the reading; you guys do your rehearsals!”
Deepak Tijori also recalled another fun story from the sets of Pehla Nasha, where he was joined by his close friends Pooja Bhatt and Raveena Tandon. The film was the directorial debut of Ashutosh Gowariker.
“On the sets of that film, we would reach before time and play dumb charades! The entire unit, including Ashutosh Gowariker, and all the actors. Raveena would say this is a ‘mad unit’ because we would come before time, play games and then shoot!”
On the work front, Deepak Tijori had his directorial release earlier this year titled Tipppsy, which was launched by his mentor filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. Shah Rukh, meanwhile, is gearing to start his next film King, co-starring actor daughter Suhana Khan.
